Robinhood and its CEO, Vlad Tenev, had a series of meetings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) before receiving a Wells Notice, according to Tenev in an interview with CNBC on Wednesday.
Tenev revealed that they approached the SEC with genuine intentions and had a total of 16 meetings with them. However, he expressed disappointment as the SEC did not reciprocate their efforts.
