According to the press release, the collaboration aims to drive the digital evolution of the gaming industry and enhance gaming experiences on a global scale.
Elixir plans to utilize the undisclosed additional funding for its launcher platform and the development of new game IPs (intellectual properties).
Currently, the launcher platform hosts over 150 games and has garnered over 1 million downloads since its inception.
CEO Carlos Roldan expressed Elixir Games’ mission to “challenge the limits of gaming possibilities.”
He highlighted that the support and strategic investment from WEMIX mark an expansion of their partnership, enabling them to expedite their growth and deliver even more innovative and captivating experiences, ultimately shaping the future of gaming.
‘Establishing a Solid Foundation for a Flourishing Web3 Business’
Elixir Games is integrating blockchain technology to provide players with true ownership of in-game assets and promote a player-centric economy.
The company is constructing a comprehensive suite of products as a one-stop solution for Web3 gaming, including a user-friendly wallet system, simplified onboarding for new users, payment gateways, a games marketplace, enterprise infrastructure solutions, and a platform for upcoming IPs.
Furthermore, it features a gamified platform with elements like a Season Pass, quests, giveaways, tournaments, and leaderboards.
Elixir Games has formed partnerships with major entities such as Square Enix and GameStop, and the acquisitions of RoboKiden and LitLab Games have positioned it as a significant publisher.
In May 2024, the company
raised $14 million
from investors like Square Enix, with support from the Solana Foundation, NeoTokyo, Shima Capital, Blizzard Fund, and CyberKongz.
This funding will aid in the launch of the ELIX token and the Launchpad & Incubation Program.
A spokesperson from WEMIX praised Elixir Games for its “exceptional technical prowess and profound industry insight.”
Together, WEMIX and Elixir Games aim to establish a robust foundation for a thriving Web3 business and push the boundaries of the gaming industry.
Meanwhile, WEMIX is constructing a blockchain ecosystem based on WEMIX3.0, a tailor-made blockchain optimized for features like dapps, NFTs, and in-game asset ownership.
Wemade, a leading gaming company with a market capitalization of $2 billion, is renowned for ‘The Legend of MIR IP’ among other achievements.
Its popular MMORPG, ‘NIGHT CROWS,’ achieved over $10 million in global sales within three days of its launch.
