Scammers are using phishing emails to target users of Ledger hardware wallets in an attempt to steal their cryptocurrency. The emails contain a malicious link that directs users to a fake website. The scammers claim that users need to activate a security feature called “Ledger Clear Signing” to continue using their devices securely. If users fall for the scam and provide access to their Ledger wallets, the attackers can drain their crypto holdings. Phishing attacks in the crypto space are increasing in frequency and cost. In September alone, over 10,000 individuals lost more than $46 million to phishing scams. It is essential for users to be cautious and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
